The following is a list of events at the Stoughton Public Library for August 17-23.
Monday
The Bookish Buds Reading Club will meet at Halloran Park at 2:30 Monday afternoon. Teenagers in grades 6-12 are invited to bring their own book and read together. No registration is required.
Tuesday
The Teen Space will have table top games on Tuesday, 1:00-4:00. No registration is required. The Teen Space has board games, card games, role-playing games, and trivia. The Teen Space is open to teenagers in grades 6-12.

Wednesday
Stoughton Library will offer arts & crafts in the teen space. Teenagers in grades 6-12 are invited to make use of supplies offered by the library for self-led creative time. No registration is required.
Drop in Chess will begin at 5:00 on Wednesday afternoon. Children are expected to have a basic understanding of chess, but some instruction is available from library volunteers. Drop in Chess is open to children ages 5-11 and their caregivers.
Teddy Bear Storytime will take place with Peggy Sewyck at 6:00. Children ages 0-6. Children are invited to bring their parents and a stuffed friend.
Bring Your Own Craft Club (BYOCC) will be in the Community Room from 6:00-8:00, Wednesday evening. BYOCC is a relaxed social space where all creatives are encouraged to work side-by-side. All are invited to bring their current project and enjoy the company of others. BYOCC offers shared inspiration and good conversation. Registration for BYOCC is required.
Thursday
Storytime at Halloran Park will be at 10:00 on Thursday morning. In the case of rain, the event will be moved to the library. Storytime is open to children ages 0-6 and 7-12.
The Teen Space will be open at 1:00 P.M. for video games. Teenagers in grades 6-12 are invited to visit the Teen Space to play Wii, Switch, PS2 or PS4. No registration is required.
Drop-in Scrabble will be in the library’s Conference Room from 1:00-4:30. Adults are welcome to come by for a friendly fame of Scrabble. No registration is required.
Makeup of Nature Watercolor Painting Class, hosted by Devin Mclaughlin, will be in the Community Room, 6:00-8:00 on Thursday evening. The class is a makeup for the class scheduled for July 29.
Those interested will learn how to paint a local scene of the Taunton River. In addition to painting, Devin will share his knowledge about the ecology and history of the river. Registration for this event is required.
Saturday
Storytime at Halloran Park will be at 10:00 on Saturday morning. Storytime is open to children ages 0-6 and 7-12. The event will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.
Stoughton Library is closed on Saturdays.
