Ultimate Holiday Cheese Guide

The Christmas homestretch has arrived. Wherever you’re going, good luck finding a parking spot.

Everyone is shopping. Some are looking for that last Christmas present to wrap up (See what I did there? 😁) their Christmas shopping. People with parties for hosting are hitting the grocery stores for food and beverages. Some will have a buffet, some will keep it simple with hours d’oeuvres. Whoever is hosting, whoever is visiting, I’m sure it will be a delicious spread. And if you’re not hosting a Christmas party, I’m sure there’s New Year’s Eve.

Don’t forget the cheese. I’m not sure I’ve seen appetizers and hour d’oeuvres laid out before people without cheese, and I don’t think I’ve seen disappointed faces when they approach the table for something to munch on. Cheese can be a great snack, and it can be used to cook a great meal. Some people who know cheese have asked me to tell you about their products that can help your Holiday hosting. I like cheese, so how could I say no?

Gayo Azul Chili Pepper Cheese

I snacked on some Chili Pepper Cheese from the good people at Gayo Azul. Inspired by authentic Hispanic flavors, the Chili Pepper Cheese offers the perfect blend of creamy, buttery cheese and a kick of spice. The cheese, made from whole mile, will melt perfectly on your burger, grilled panini, or whatever sandwich you’re making today. The smooth cheese paired with a mild chili warmth makes it a great addition to your festive table or cheese board. It’s packed in a convenient resealable package so you can return to it whenever the family is ready. Try this if you want to bring a touch of flavor and flair to your entertaining. Gayo Azul Gouda

I brought a sandwich to work this week and tried something different. For the first time, I tried topping my sandwich with gouda cheese. It’s usually Cheddar or Swiss for me, so this was a bit of a deviation for me. The Gayo Azul gouda cheese topped my sandwich this week and it did not disappoint.

A Dutch Masterpiece Rembrandt 12-Month PDO Gouda

A Dutch Masterpiece is a line of cheese that features famous artists on its label. This PDO (Protected Designation of Origin, a EU quality label) cheese is made with milk from North Holland and aged 12 months for a smooth, firm texture and a bold, caramel-kissed flavor. The effort results in a beautifully balanced cheese that can pair with fine wine. You can also enjoy it with charcuterie or at your next gathering. Or, if you’d like, you can eat it by itself like I did. 😋

Royal Hollandia Mild Gouda

Royal Hollandia has embodied the spirit of premium cheese making that began in 1898 with a group of dairy farmers. Upholding this tradition, Royal Hollandia is wrapped in its familiar red wax and delivers a creamy texture that partners balanced flavor making it a favorite for any occasion this season.
