A Wareham family is in need of help after an unspeakable tragedy.
Fun 107 and WBSM-AM reported earlier Tuesday about the Hicks Family and the challenges they have recently faced after the death of a loved one.
According to reports, JB Hicks suffered a stroke on November 13. He appeared to be recovering when he suffered a pulmonary embolism, then more smaller strokes. Hicks was put in a medically induced coma. He passed away on November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, leaving his wife, Cindy, and two teenage children.
The Hicks had been living on one income, JB’s. They have lost their husband, their father, and their source of income at the start of the Holidays.
The United Way of New Bedford is collecting donations so the Hicks family can have a Merry Christmas. Anyone interested in making a donation can log on to the United Way of New Bedford website. After entering your information, you can donate to the Hicks Family or another family in need featured on the website. You can also make a contribution by texting WISHES25 to 26989.
In addition to his wife, JB also leaves his daughter, London, and son, Greyson. Any amount you can donate would be appreciated.
